ArtsBusXpress Earns A+ Award |
ArtsBusXpress was one of three partners selected by San Diego City Schools for an A+ Partner of the Year Award "for exemplary support and commitment" at the 24th annual community recognition event at SeaWorld on May 4, 2006.
With 1400 people on hand to celebrate, the Partnerships in
Education program honored the organizations and volunteers whose
dedicated contributions serve the 216 educational facilities and
132,000 students that comprise the San Diego City Schools District,
second largest in the State of California. ArtsBusXpress has given
42,000 SDCS students an opportunity to discover music, theatre, dance,
art and museums with their teachers and classmates since the first
fieldtrip bus was launched in October 2002.
